St. Paul's Way Community School, Tower Hamlets, London
On site since Feb '09
12.200sqm
The new St Paul's Way Community School on St Paul’s Way is one of 21 schools in Tower Hamlets being developed and/or upgraded as part of Waves 3 and 5 of the BSF programme. It has been carefully and creatively designed to meet the aims and objectives of this national initiative.
This building designed around the site orientation to limit internal heat gains will deliver a low energy building together with an internal environment that can deliver transformational education. The large community use will elevate this school into an important civic building for the community.
“The investment will create a world class learning centre where young people and the wider community can access a rich variety of learning resources, the latest technology and state of the art sports and culture facilities to learn new skills and support the community ambition to make St Paul’s way a better place to live and work”.
Kevin Collins, Director of Children’s Service, Tower Hamlets Council – Stratford & Newham
